Fr. Thomas J. Loya, STB, MA, is the pastor of Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Parish in Homer Glen, IL. He hosts the "Light of the East" radio program as a regular guest on Relevant Radio. Fr. Loya was ordained in 1982 and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters in Counseling & Human Services. Using his background in art, counseling, and Eastern Catholic spirituality, Fr. Loya brings the
principles of Theology of the Body deep into the lived experience of every aspect of human sexuality.

Fr. Michael Schmitz was ordained a Catholic priest in June 2003 for the Diocese of Duluth and has since served in parish and campus ministry. He is also the Director of the Office for Youth & Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Duluth. Fr. Schmitz has a passion for Theology of the Body and a gift for relating to youth.

Theology of the Body (TOB) is John Paul's reflection on what it means to be human, created in God's
image. It's a new look at time-tested Truth in light of our modern culture. TOB looks at the nature of love, how to use our sexuality honestly, the meaning of gender, and, ultimately, the meaning of life. This
conference will help young people understand
difficult Church teachings and equip them to deal with the challenges of growing up in today's world.

Teens in grades 8 - 12 are
welcome. Eighth graders should be fairly mature for their age, as topics of chastity and sexuality will be discussed. Is your teen skeptical about all the "rules" in the Church? Then this weekend is for them!
