You will know the truth, and...

The Truth shall set you free!

D-Week 2007

John 8:32

In June,
11 teens from St. John's
attended Discipleship Week, or D-Week, with NET Ministries in Duluth and St. Paul. The four-day retreat included
music, skits, small groups, games, Reconciliation, daily Mass, and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. They learned more about truth and freedom and how to live. But don't take our word for it...

I have now seen the light of truth and will be more of a participant in Mass and in praising God.  D-Week helped me SO much in my faith and spirituality. I love D-Week!

Adoration was my favorite part of D-Week! I've been to Adoration before, but this was such an amazing experience and being able to see others' reactions helped me feel God's presence.

I experienced God through my small group leader Ashley and through the other girls in my small group. I talked a lot with Ashley, and she helped me with so many things.

The change I want to make from D-Week is my prayer life. I want to try and have a deeper relationship with God. I also want to stay this excited about my faith and about God!

Sarah Keyport, 12th grade, Mounds View

I experienced God in so many ways at D-Week. The staff members were talking from their hearts, and we listened to the Holy Spirit in what they had to say to us to get us to
understand. They were always so nice and just radiated Jesus.
I also experienced God in the fellowship that came out of
D-Week. Most of the kids there came away with a better
understanding and love for Christ, and it's amazing to see how God works through all of them.

Since D-Week, almost everything in me has changed. I started going to daily Mass, and I really try to listen to my parents. I try to honor everyone around me, and I try to be as Christ-like as I can be. I try to pick up my cross and carry it as Jesus did, and I really try to limit the times when I sin. I mean I still sin (everybody does), but it's getting to be less often and not mortal sins anymore. I try to be the best Callie I can be, and just try to live life according to God's plan -- not my own.
