St. John the Baptist’s entire life centers on the Celebration of the Sunday Mass. Mass is celebrated at an anticipatory Mass at 4:30 pm on Saturday evening, at 8:30 and 10:30 am on Sunday mornings, and at 5:30 pm on Sunday evenings. Summer schedule: The Sunday evening Mass time is 6:15 pm from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
Mass is celebrated Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 8:30 AM in the Chapel of Angels. On Wednesday, Mass is celebrated at 8:30 AM (9:30 AM during the school year in the church) and at 5:30 PM in the Chapel of the Angels. The Rosary is prayed 30 minutes before all of the daily morning Masses.
Holy Days of ObligationMass schedules for Holy Days are posted in the bulletin the week prior to the feast day. Generally, Masses will be offered at various times throughout the day to accommodate people’s schedules. The Holy Days of Obligation are: Mary Mother of God on January 1, Assumption of Mary on August 15, All Saints on November 1, the Immaculate Conception of Mary on December 8, and the Nativity of Our Lord on December 25.
