Baptism Class
April 6, 2026 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Room 206 & 208
Our Baptism Prep Class sessions are offered on the 1st Monday of each month from 6:30-8:00 pm. Our facilitator will use segments from the Reborn series as the class content. In preparation for your class, you will view a video online called “A New Creation”. The Reborn series is offered through formed.org. A 2nd video will be viewed and discussed during class.
We prefer both parents to attend the Baptism Prep class, but we realize important things can get in the way. To make this more feasible, childcare is provided. Please contact Jill Fink at finkj@stjohnnyb.org to reserve your spot.

Family Formation
Family Formation
April 8, 2026 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
St. Joseph Hall
Family Formation is offered to families with preschool-5th grade children; both parents and children grow in discipleship together.
This program is offered in person and is on the first Wednesday of every month (unless otherwise noted on the calendar) of the formation year, which runs from October through May. We begin the year with a fun and informative kick-off in September. Families meet at Church for their onsite formation. All children in preschool-5th grade must be registered to attend/participate in the Family Formation program.
- Family Formation is designed for parents to be equipped to fulfill their call to be the first and foremost educators of their children’s faith. It will bring the family together once a month at church to grow and strengthen their relationship with Christ and learn more about their Catholic Faith. Parents will receive materials and guidance to teach their children three additional lessons at home during the rest of the month.
- Children in grades 1-5th will go to grade-specific classrooms.
- Preschoolers and Kindergarteners will meet upstairs for their lesson. They must be registered on the registration form for childcare, but there is no charge.
- Children under 3 will meet to play in the childcare room upstairs. They must be registered on the registration form for childcare, but there is no charge.
Family Formation Schedule:
5:00 pm Confession is available with childcare before Mass 5:30 pm Mass or Dinner (with free will offering) 6:00 pm Family Formation Program begins 7:30 pm Program concludes
If you have any questions regarding the program, please email Jen Livermont at livermontj@stjohnnyb.org.

Middle School Formation/Wednesday Night Bible Study – Encounter the Story in Scripture
Our Middle School Formation program is growing and developing! We want this program to be a space where your child belongs and is built up in their Catholic faith and Catholic community! Your child will grow in their relationship with God, their familiarity with the scriptures, and their relationship with other faith-filled middle schoolers. Over three years, students will develop a firm foundation of faith to carry with them into high school and beyond. Incoming 6th graders will study the Old Testament. 7th graders will encounter the person of Jesus through the gospels. 8th graders will study the early Church through the lens of Acts. The program features a weekly scripture study, prayer, and a competition for the kingdom cup. The scripture study we will be following will be the Great Adventure Bible Timeline . Not sure if you want to register? Come check it out first. Scholarships are available for students.

Sunday School
April 19, 2026 10:30 am - 11:30 am
School Classrooms
Sunday School is discipleship training for our littlest disciples (ages 3 through kindergarten). The sessions consist of a bible story and lesson, songs, crafts, and saint stories. We follow the lectionary and the liturgical calendar so students are typically hearing the same Gospel story that they are reading in Mass. We meet most Sundays during the 8:30 am and 10:30 am Masses from October through April. Kids get dropped off in the classroom before Mass begins and get picked up when Mass is over. All children must be registered prior to attending/participating in the Sunday School program. All children must be potty-trained to enroll.

Parish Leadership Commissions Meetings
Parish Leadership Commissions Meetings
April 21, 2026 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
The Pastoral Leadership Commission (PLC) is based on aservant leadership model that provides an opportunity for parishioners to sharetheir time and talents with our parish. Parishioners can serve as commissionmembers on one of the eight commissions that support our parish. One memberfrom each commission participates as a representative on the PLC.
Three At-Large PLC members that are chosen by thePastor along with the PLC representatives provide support and give feedback tothe Pastor at PLC meetings. The PLC promotes our three core values among allcommissions and promotes the parish’s mission and theme for the year in allministries.
The overall structure of thismodel allows for greater participation by parishioners in their parish and amore informed parish leadership group. It creates the opportunity for allparish commission members and leaders to pray together for the people of St.John’s and the opportunity for more persons to become involved and active inother St. John’s ministries.
Monthly commission meetings incorporate a simple mealfollowed by prayer before the Commission meetings and PLC meeting. TheCommissions and the Pastoral Leadership Council work in partnership with staffto develop the vision, policies and programs that support our Parish mission.
