Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.

By Fr. Paul Shovelain

This coming week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week! I am grateful for our school and the opportunity to form our youngest parishioners in the faith. Their desire to learn about God is inspiring. They bring so much life and joy to our parish. Please join me in praying for them and their families. We pray that the Lord may help them develop into great saints who form a NEW BRIGHT light of Christ in the world!

I am grateful as well for our hard-working teachers and dedicated staff who have adapted so well to the times. They have helped us to remain in-person for learning which is critical for their faith and personal growth. This is no Catholic Schools Week Sunday Mass with all the students this year due to capacity restrictions, but we will be celebrating our school Masses with great joy next week.

On Tuesday, we celebrate the Presentation or the Lord in the Temple with great joy and lighted candles. On Wednesday, we celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise with the blessing of throats. On Thursday, we will do a votive Mass to St. Joseph as we are in the year of St. Joseph. Join us for any or all of these school Masses at 8:30 am in the church.
