Dean of Students with Teaching Responsibilities
The Dean of Students works with the school principal and colleagues to facilitate the growth of all students at St. John the Baptist Catholic School. In particular, the Dean of Students is responsible for supporting and facilitating the school’s virtues formation and discipline programs.The position also includes enforcing student conduct policies as well as effective communication with colleagues and parents as required while balancing the individual needs of students and the common good of the St. John the Baptist Catholic School community.
Finally, this position does require some teaching responsibilities, an understanding of best practices in K-8 instruction and assessment, and knowledge of Minnesota state education standards.
The Dean of Students must possess a charitable yet authoritative rapport with students while being a witness and disciple of the Catholic Faith and mission of St. John the Baptist Catholic School.
