Coordinator of Discipleship through Sacramental Formation

The primary purpose of this position is to support our parish mission by leading in discipleship couples and families engaging in our sacramental programs of Marriage, Baptism, First Sacraments and Order of Christian Initiation of Children. Position supports parents in the sacramental preparation as well as leads the Parent Program for Formation programs and supporting discipleship of families through evangelization events.

Hospitality Coordinator

To plan and coordinate weekend hospitality and prepare and serve Commission and Discipleship & Mission dinners and hospitality and dinners related to special parish events. Maintain an oversight role of Bethany Kitchen (the St. Joseph Hall kitchen).

Coordinator of Discipleship for Youth Ministry

Job Purpose:  To assist the parish with the ministry and formation needs of St. John’s families that have children in grades 6-12 as they encounter Christ and learn to live in the heart of the Catholic Church.  This position will provide a dynamic and comprehensive program for youth in grades 6-12 and campus ministry in the parish school.  This position will provide ministry to all parish families, both in the church and the school, as well as non-parish school families.

Responsibilities include planning, organizing and leading discipleship formation for youth through youth group, discipleship small groups as well as faith formation for non-SJB school families and confirmation program.  Recruiting, equipping and forming adult leaders as they are guided to serve youth.  Overseeing the implementation of a comprehensive program that links from 5th grade formation through teen years and transitioning into young adult ministry. This will include discipling parents and adults as well as youth.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Catechist

To assist the preschool and church with ministry and formation needs of children in preschool ages, along with the families as they encounter Christ and learn to live within the heart of the Catholic Church.  This position will provide the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd formation for students ages 3-6 in our preschool and church offerings.

Responsibilities include working as a team member to provide Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program.  Teach Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to the children in collaboration with an Assistant, provide a communication plan with parents, material development, and maintenance of the atrium.
