Core Values in Action

Core Values in Action

In 2021, you have been a bright light here in New Brighton. Your reliance on prayer has been evidenced in the strong Mass attendance both in-person and online. Our novena for life had 30+ live viewers every day. Your willingness to grow was seen in the strong participation as we resume in-person ministry. It has been wonderful to see various groups gathering in St. Joseph’s hall and other places in the building which provide formation and education to help you grow into the saint God desires you to become. Your generous spirit continues to be seen in the impressive financial support of the parish as well as the ways you live out your faith by volunteering or serving in the community.

I am excited to see the strong participation in the Encounter Small Groups where every participant has the opportunity to live out all three core values. As a group, you commit to praying. As a group, you grow and develop your understanding of Sacred Scripture. As a group, you live out of a generous spirit, as it is a commitment and requires time and focus on your part. If you have not signed up, I encourage you to do so as it will help you grow in your relationship with the Lord this Lenten Season.

Invitations

Join me tonight for an opportunity to grow in your understanding of St. Joseph and how his simplicity and humility helped him live in peace and hope throughout his life. All men are invited to join me in person at 7 pm. Hope to see you there!

Join us virtually this weekend for our Wines to Wishes fundraiser for our school.  Funds raised go to help strengthen our school and help our students grow into the saints they are called to be!

Ash Wednesday Update

Ash Wednesday will look different this year. We plan to use q-tips to distribute ashes on your forehead this year. We will need to have you come forward like we did pre-pandemic in lines for the distribution of ashes as it is too complicated to carry ashes and dozens of q-tips with us through the pews. We appreciate your understanding and your patience.
