Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. John’s,
“Behold, the Lamb of God!” John the Baptist was Called Forth into the desert to prepare the way of the Lord. He Called Forth others as well. People gathered around him to witness what he was doing. Here at SJB, we have witnessed Christ’s presence from His welcoming 12 children into his flock here through Baptism this month, to forgiving dozens of people every week through Confession, to sharing His very life in the Eucharist to over a hundred people every day at Mass, to praying for the repose of the souls for the several funerals we have celebrated this month.
As we come to the end of the fiscal year, I would like to share with you some highlights during our year, as focused on being “Called Forth” by the Lord. Having been “Called Forth,” we will “Gather to Witness” this coming year as we look to further the kingdom of God in New Brighton and beyond! Click the bulletin link below to see our highlight list!
