“Greening” of the church

Fr. Kevin Magner

The Christmas trees have been delivered this morning for the church! The “greening” of the church will be tonight at 6:00 PM. Volunteers are needed, especially men to help lift the trees. All are welcome to come help set up the trees, hang wreaths and decorations, and set up the poinsettias. Even if you just come to help sweep up the pine needles you are welcome to join us.

Thank you to all who have sent Christmas cards, gifts, and goodies to Fr. Paul and me. Your kindness and generosity are always overwhelming.

Christmas Masses this year are going to be celebrated on Christmas Eve at 1:00, 3:00, 5:00 and 10:30 PM, and on Christmas morning at 8:30 and 10:30 AM. Because of the ongoing seating restrictions, we are only allowed to have 250 people in the church at each Mass. When we reach that capacity we will seat people in the parish hall and in the school cafeteria, where the Mass will be live-streamed. Please follow the directions of the ushers so that we can maximize our seating. Because we will need to clean and disinfect those three locations after each Mass, the church doors will not be open until 30 minutes prior to Mass. Also, we will not allow people to save seats for family members coming in late. It is not fair to other people who arrive in a timely manner. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause and appreciate your understanding. When you come to Christmas Mass this year please remember to bring with you Charity and Patience. We are all doing the best we can.

God bless you all this week and have a wonderful and merry Christmas!
