We had a wonderful women’s retreat this past weekend that was truly led by the Holy Spirit! There are several instances throughout the retreat that it was clearly not a coincidence but a God-incidence! I look forward to seeing how the Lord will continue to call forth those women into deeper holiness. Our men’s retreat is March 3-5. I will be co-leading the retreat with Matt Birk, the former Minnesota Viking. He will give a presentation on Friday night and Sunday. Please see below for the registration information.
Our Ice Fishing with Father Tournament is full this weekend and we are set to have a fantastic morning out on the ice! Please pray for the safety of all those involved and that we not only fish for fish, but also call forth those in attendance to greater unity with God.
Please also pray for all those on retreat this coming weekend from our parish. We have a confirmation retreat that our confirmation students will be on. We also have a retreat for our students preparing for 1st Reconciliation and their parents. May the Lord call forth all these retreatants into deeper communion with Himself.
Finally, please pray for our state government leaders. Today, the Minnesota House of Representatives will have a floor vote for the PRO Act (abortion up to birth with no restrictions). Pro-life Action Ministries made a very brief video summarizing the horror of this bill. There is clearly work to be done to build up a culture of life. One way to help is to send in a card expressing your concern about this bill to our legislators – please see the harvest table for these cards. You can also find ways to help here on the MNCatholic website. An example of that culture of life being put forward here is our recent installation of diaper and supply racks that have been installed in our restrooms at SJB near the diaper changing tables. We invite parents to utilize the supplies there as we want to support you and your family. Thank you to our Respect Life group for installing these diaper and supply racks.
